Nachiket Shelgikar

After completing his B.S. from the Carnegie Mellon University, Mr. Shelgikar worked with Deutsche Bank in M&A for a year in London. He left the Bank in August 2008, and returned to Mumbai to work as a social entrepreneur. Since then, he has been involved in setting up 'Micro Housing Finance Corporation (MHFC)' - a housing finance company targeted at lower income households mostly from the informal sector in urban India. The company has received the necessary regulatory clearance from the National Housing Bank (NHB) and has started disbursing housing loans since June 2009.
