Urbanization
in India
The Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi
13 March 08
The
Roundtable on "Urbanization in India"
focussed on issues that the cities of tomorrow
would have to address in the course of their
development.
Factors
such as the 'flow of information', 'advent of the
internet', 'increased awareness about civic
regulations', and 'reducing inter and intra city
distances', were discussed as having consequences
on cities of tomorrow.
Lessons
were also drawn from case studies of other
'global' cities that are tackling the challenge of
urban energy requirements.
