This roundtable discussion on “Re-imagining Indian
Cities: Design for Urban Spaces” concentrated on
bringing together a select group of expert practitioners
to discuss the role of design in solving urban problems.
The presentations and subsequent discussion emphasised
the need to convert 'urban spaces' to 'urban places'.
The Roundtable attendees included Professors of urban
design and architecture, bureaucrats engaged in urban
planning, academics, and urban designers.
